If you want to get the 938k postscript version of my thesis via the web, here it is.
My computer is named puffin
(and swan and swift are my MSUM computers).
All of the SPILab computers have bird names.
- You should check out the comic book Sheba.
I have the pleasure of knowing Wally Crane who crafts this book. (His
self-portrait is to the right.) In the Boston area,
you can pick up copies at my favorite comic book store, The Million Year Picnic. I still
don't have a favorite comic book store in Seattle.
- The Boston Red Sox.
If you don't know anything about baseball, feel free to read my guide to baseball.
- I got my skates three years ago and
they are still going strong (although that killer Killian choctaw left me
in the dust 10/9/2001). In Boston, I skated at the historic Skating Club of Boston as well as at
Boston University. In Seattle, I am a member of Highland Skating Club. If you want to know anything about figure skating (anything at all), check out Sandra Loosemore's skateweb. I think I would
rather have her autograph than Sonja Henie's.
- All important in this day and age: Harpoon Brewery, check out the
ESB (if you can find it) and their Winter Warmer.
- The place I am most likely to go on the web is Northwest Airlines, the official airline of
Becky. They mainly get my support because they fly to Great Falls, MT.
- It is also not surprising to find me at expedia since they let me find out
about all of the airlines. They give you an idea of availability and cheap
fares from your desk. When you're waiting for something to compile.
- I now spend most of my time at Alaska/Horizon Air since that's an
easy way to get around the western US. I like watching for cheap flights
to visit cool friends.
- I have found a favorite band in the Seattle area! Not only is it my
favorite, it is a family favorite! Check out Spandex Ballet. I know the words
to all the songs they play and it's always a great night of dancing when we
can find them playing.
- They Might Be Giants have put their Dial-A-Song service on the web! Check
it twice a month to get your fix of new TMBG songs. I would put their band
site link here (www.tmbg.com) but it crashes my netscape.
is a picture of my brother's band, The Banned,
based in Missoula, MT. Joe is the bass player on the right. I'm hoping
they play in Seattle soon. They are mainly old fogies now but get together
to jam every once in awhile. If you ever make it to Missoula, Charlie, the
lead singer, owns a great ice cream shop (Big Dipper Ice Cream. His huckleberry ice cream pies
are out of this world.
- Throwing Muses: this is now a very
Back to the Becky's home page.
- My cousin
is a buddhist lama. She is the director of Odsal Ling in Brazil, a dharma
center associated with Chagdud Gonpa.
- Chris Bero,
my friend who was at the South Pole
- My friend June has a web site that
I enjoy immensely. I just spent half an hour rereading essays she wrote,
laughing quietly -- you know, that annoying, wheezy laugh you do when you
don't want anyone to know you aren't doing any work. You should also
take her most recent poll.
