Using epitome in texture transfer is another straight-forward idea: if we manipulate the epitome mean image in some way, the texture of the reconstructed image will be changed accordingly. Here we tested an interesting and somehow extreme example: photo-mosaicing. In the epitome reconstruction, we replace each pixel with a small image of similar intensity with certain degree of randomness, and the result is showed in the following figure:

Again, this example is only used to illustrate the possibility of doing texture transfer via epitome reconstruction. More useful epitome-based texture transfer techniques are still yet to be explored.
